The countdown begins: This time next week I should be on the road to California! I will be traveling south through Kansas and angle west toward Albuquerque. I have maps and route plans from AAA. They make a whole book for me outlining the trip mile by mile.
The van is ready—it was serviced by Matt at Ken’s (Ken plays with John in Worship team at church) and then I bought four new tires for it, so I think it’s all set to go.
Those AAA trip books are the best! You have snow chains right? and sleeping bags, and a cooler of food, and cell phone charger, and emergency kit, flashers, flashlight, Ohhh.... sorry I get carried away when anyone says road trip. I love road trips :)

No chains--I'm taking the southern route through Kansas...Daughter #2 (Saffron) gave me a car kit for my birthday last month. John thought I ought to go thru Colo, but I don't want to go over the Raton Pass in Northern New Mexico. It still had snow on it when we came home last April! Thanks for the prayers!
